I put ever...in the title of this post because not too long ago in our history, kids were extremely green. This is before cars and bottled water. Just an FYI - the first car was invented in 1769, by Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot (which was by the way a Steam Powered Engine).
So, before this, most kids walked to school--some, 13 miles each way with holes in their shoes. My parents claimed this too!
Well, back then people used animals to help plow the fields, they grew and ate very organic foods, made their own clothes and burned wood to cook and heat their homes. I can go on and on, but how will the Youth compete with that? Do you think they will go to Australia and decide to live like Aborigines? No, iPod and facebook are like, way too cool to give up.
What I find interesting is how they look at the present and the future. For example, my 4-year-old says to me, "Daddy, when I get older, my car is only going to use a drop of water and will be able to go really far". Most people may say, "Yeah whatever, kid, what's in your Cheerios?" Imagine if you said to a kid 50 years ago, "Hey kid, see that moon way up there? A guy is going to walk on it someday". Watch the video below; see and listen to what the youth is thinking and doing. The future is positive and green. –Stay Green
