What can I do when my Electronic Devices die?

Wednesday, November 26, 2008 by Craig Zamary

Most of us are connected to and depend on our electronics devices every day. When cell phones, tv's, computers, printers, etc. die, where should we lay them to rest? Not the garbage can. Electronics have many hazardous ingredients that affect and pollute the environment. So what can you or I do?

There are simple solutions to reuse and properly dispose of e waste (electronic waste) so it does not reach the landfills.

Students like 14 year old Alex Lin, in the video below, came up with some great solutions and what they are doing to make a difference.  They did the research and are making it easy for others to implement this model in their hometown!  Cheers to Alex and his team, and to anyone else who sets up a e-waste program in their area.
