In addition to the many green things and initiatives Copenhagen has in place and has been doing, they are now known to be #1 World's Best Biking City.
The City of Copenhagen's official vision is to become the 'world's best bike city' with the goal that by 2015, 50% of the city's inhabitants will bike to work, school etc.
At present 36 percent of all Copenhageners cycle 1.2 million kilometres daily, which is one of the highest percentages in the world. With more than 300 kilometers of bicycle paths and the popular 'free token bike'.
